Wood: a natural insulation

Resistant and durable, the wood ensures excellent thermal insulation thanks to its cellular structure composed of numerous cavities filled with air. It adapts to all types of bay windows (arched, high, sliding ...) without the need for reinforcements. According to the uses, it can be massive or, for an increased resistance, laminated-glued (lamellae glued together and covered with a solid wood veneer). The species used? The European oak, of course, but also the pine and certain red or yellow woods from Africa, extremely dense, like sapelli, moabi or movingui. Most come from sustainably managed forests, certified PEFC or FSC.

The modernity of the wooden shutters

Wooden windows are not the only ones to have the wind in their sails. The shutters designed in the same material also experience a real craze. They can be painted in any color but it is natural that they are preferred, possibly enhanced by a stained stain (white, ash, slate, taupe, wood tones ...). This one, satin and transparent, reveals the veins of the wood.
