1. Before / after: a newly opened small kitchen on the living room

Before work : during this renovation of a Parisian apartment of 33 m2, the architects in charge of the project had to review, among other things, the layout of the kitchen. Previously confined to a recess, it was difficult to access and inconvenient on a daily basis. In addition, its past color and its dilapidated tile did not help anything ...

Walls have ears

After work : to offer the owner a functional and optimized kitchen, the old kitchen has been totally destroyed, in favor of an open kitchen. Worked in two depths due to the presence of technical columns, the new small kitchen has gained in modernity and functionality. Cupboards up and down, colorful niches on immaculate background to blend in with the decor, oak worktop ... the result is simple but effective!

2. Before / after: a kitchen of 6 m2 completely revamped

Before work : before the intervention of the architect, the kitchen of this Parisian duplex was at least banal. Arranged in length, the kitchen furniture was rather obsolete, the sink, not very modern and the credence, a little sad. In addition, the oven was piled on the washing machine, not very practical ... However, the place had a certain potential with this large linear wall and the window that brings brightness.

Rebecca Benichou

After work : the architect in charge of the project decides to keep the layout of the kitchen, but to revise it entirely. The gloomy facades give way to a mix of black and white between high furniture and low furniture, and a return was even created below the window to gain work plan. The sink changes its place, while the oven fits into the structure rather than resting on the dishwasher. Added to this are an oak worktop that brings warmth and modernity, as well as cement tiles for authenticity and a graphic tile as a credence. An effective makeover at a lower cost that allows each element to find its place in a modern atmosphere!

3. Before / after: a malignant kitchen that exploits every nook and cranny

Before work : small, cramped, dark and rather badly arranged, the kitchen of these 100 m2 does not really have enough to seduce. Leaving aside the neon green paint and the autumn forest panorama, we can see the two openings on the outside, true contributions of light that the architect decides to exploit during his intervention.

After work After having cut down a partition, the kitchen opened on the entrance and the living room, gaining a few square meters and a more functional layout. To compose with all the angles of walls present in the room, the kitchen came to integrate fully to measure. Elegant, the light oak of the new facades harmonizes with black polished concrete tiles, and a new kind of white canopy that brings brightness to the space.

4. Before / after: a semi-open kitchen on the living room

Before work : small, stovepipe and dark, the kitchen of this Parisian flat located attic is nothing of a modern kitchen. The tiled floor and wall is rather sad, low-end furniture, in short a small place where you do not necessarily feel at ease to cook. However, who says small kitchen, also says functionality, that the interior designer engaged for the works was able to breathe in this project.

After work : the architect imagines an open kitchen, or rather semi-open on the stay, without the disadvantages that this type of kitchen can present. Thanks to this glass partition at the top, the small dark room gains brightness. A pristine white, on the facades of kitchen but also on the metro style tile, maximizes the light effect and visually enlarge the space. Part of a wall is shot up to clear the view, making this semi-open kitchen on the living room. Thus more than refreshed, the kitchen takes new tunes, more modern, brighter, even bigger!

5. Before / after: a fully modernized kitchen

Before work : in this apartment with breathtaking views of Paris, the old kitchen was at least dated. The blue kitchen facades answered a credenza in the same colors, and the floor tiles darkened this space in length, which is closed!

Alexandra Teboul

After work : for budget reasons, the interior designer has chosen, rather than completely rethink the kitchen, to repaint the furniture fronts in good condition in a deep gray to modernize everything. Once the door handles were changed, a new worktop set and a more modern credenza installed, the kitchen regained some strength. And to take full advantage of the view, the partition has been cut down, a canopy has taken place as space separator, and a small island now allows you to take meals on the run with a view of Paris ...
