A beautiful terrace around the pool

Bradstone

Hunt the natural, he comes back at a gallop. This is the case around the pool with the return of materials that mix simplicity and sobriety on the terrace. On the plantations side, landscaper Thierry Dalcant also relies on a mix of fluidity and lightness.

The pool is surrounded by a beautiful terrace, adopting a timeless look through the use of wood or a more sober style with stone. Design or rather classic, terrace floors surrounding the pool reveal the big bath from every angle. We love.

Bet on the timeless side of the wood around the pool

The pool area is discreet. The wood dominates. With pine wood Piveteau, for a parquet effect, whose convex side facilitates the evacuation of water. With red pine, at Silverwood, whose blades are reversible - they face the face smooth or grooved face - and are available in anthracite, concrete gray, teak brown or red Canada.

Thermory, for its part, offers heat-treated ash blades, resistant to insects, fungi, and guarantees 25 years. More eco-friendly: untreated wood from Limousin's eco-managed forests, used by O2pool for its pools and terraces.

Heat-treated ash blades without chemicals. Water-insensitive and of a dark brown color that will take a silver-gray hue with time. 89 euros the m2, Thermory.

Opt for the character of the stone on the terrrasse

Reconstituted stone cladding also plays sobriety. Like Bradstone, whose "Manoir" and wall tiles "Garrigues" and "Gordes" recreates the atmosphere of the Mediterranean garden.

As for Marlux, its tiling "Exago" recalls, in XXL version, the kitchen tiles of the past. Finally, Pierra's LED edge is discreet with its "nuanced stone tone", but also powerful because it illuminates, gently, the contours of the pool.

Recessed stone leds shelf with 40,000 hours of autonomy. "Your nuanced stone" matched with the pavements "Florence". Margelle: 16.75 euros the unit; kit Leds: 1 070 euros the unit, Pierra.

Tips from the landscaper Thierry Dalcant

We owe you the hanging garden above the Molitor pool in Paris. How did you apprehend this exercise?

Thierry Dalcant: The roof terrace is in full sun and wind. So we chose adapted plants, while focusing on a variety of flowers to enjoy bloom as long as possible. We worked in a naturalistic spirit, bringing fluidity, lightness and transparency. Thus, grass clumps come alive with the wind. We win in poetry.

What do you recommend near a pool?

Thierry Dalcant: Given the trampling at the exit of the basin, it seems appropriate to opt for a lawn on which it is nice to walk barefoot and lie down.

What plant to escape the eyes?

Thierry Dalcant: Grass beds, for example. These screens are at the same time flexible, alive, and able to sift the light. As for the less sunny areas, you can plant hydrangeas to ensure beautiful blooms.
