Step 1: Clean the wooden deck with a pressure washer
Before repainting your deck, make sure it is clean. To do this, it is advisable to wash it with a high-pressure cleaner, with particular emphasis on hard-to-remove tasks such as grease.
Step 2: Apply masking tape on the bottom edges and angles to the wall
Your wooden deck will soon undergo a radical change of look. In order not to overflow and to inadvertently enjoy the wall next door, it must be protected. The final result will be impeccable!
Step 3: Clear the corners of the wooden deck with a brush
Bring a flat brush brush and dip it in the paint bucket. Then clear the corners and edges of the wooden deck so that the color is evenly applied. Paint a coat of paint over these areas so that the color takes on the exterior wooden floor.
Step 4: Apply paint between the wooden deck boards
Your edges and angles being clear, you can now paint between the boards of the wooden deck. This guarantees your floor a uniform color and a top result!
Step 5: Paint the wooden deck with a paint roller
Apply the special wood decking paint using a wide roller on the entire exterior floor. In order for the color to be optimal, it is recommended to pass the roll in crossed layers per surface of 2 m2, avoiding the extra thicknesses. Then leave to dry for 8 hours.
Step 6: Put a second coat of paint on the wooden deck
8 hours have passed since the first drying of the first layer? You can now proceed to laying the second on the floor of your wooden deck. Always carry your wide paint roller, paint the surface by applying the color in crossed layers per 2 m2 space. Let the paint dry for 24 hours.
