Your favorite room where you like to be and spend time?
Virginie Lemoine: I like being everywhere! I work in bed or in the kitchen bar overlooking the trees of Châtelet. And to learn my texts, I walk in my apartment.
Your furniture: rather modern, ultra design, family, pitcher?
Virginie Lemoine: It's very zen, everything is white. I have teak furniture, an old eighteenth century sofa that was my grandfather's: I can not stand the loaded interiors or the effects of accumulation; it must be very airy and bare.
The objects to which you are most attached?
Virginie Lemoine: These are paintings related to childhood: my mother had painted my brothers and me. I made a gallery of portraits where I see two to seven years. I also framed old sketches of nudes she had drawn at the Beaux Arts. I have kept navies of my great-uncle Geo Maresté and three engravings of the same landscape that he had to represent at different times of the day.
The most unusual or unexpected that can be discovered at home?
Virginie Lemoine: It is the soothing atmosphere that emerges from the apartment itself and the way it has been arranged. Between classic and new, this large space that is at once, dining room, kitchen and living room, surprises by the principle of separations. There is a double living room that can make a guest room.
Your favorite color in your home?
Virginie Lemoine: The White ! There are no color keys except the tables. On the floor, there are two white kilim, one with iced brown patterns, another I found at a designer in Marseille, with neon orange patterns.
Your last purchase - useful or futile! - for the House ?
Virginie Lemoine: I just bought a wallpaper for my room at Le Monde Sauvage. They sell it to the sheet. It is a very pretty pattern with stars in white, cream and beige.
The kitchen, rather open or closed?
Virginie Lemoine: The kitchen is totally open on the main room but we forget it because it marries with the rest. Discreet, all in white. On the floor, there is gray slate as in the bathroom.
The kitchen separated from the corridor by a glass roof in the manner of an artist's studio from where we can see the portraits my mother painted of me from two to seven years ...
A dish unexpectedly on the go for your friends?
Virginie Lemoine: I like to organize munchies with my girlfriends, we take the bar (Barbie size!), We sit on large teak stools. On the menu: mozzarella tomatoes, avocados, cheese with gluten-free bread (because of allergy), and apples!

Virginie Lemoine: In the living room !

Virginie Lemoine: With France info from morning to evening!
Rather candle or rather perfume of atmosphere?
Virginie Lemoine: I found at Nature & Découvertes, a lamp that diffuses essential oils. I love the perfume concentrate "little autumn snack" that smells of the biscuit of our childhood.
Curtains, doors, shutters? What does it inspire you?
Virginie Lemoine: As there are huge windows in the double living room, I chose very pretty curtains always at "The wild world": they are out of white velvet. For my room overlooking the courtyard, I put in more curtains, a small white cotton curtain with a very discreet pattern.
Orderly or messy?
Virginie Lemoine: My obsession is to have a clean and tidy house: I start the day cleaning.
What is on your bedside table?
Virginie Lemoine: A small glass of water for the two cats who drink a lot at night and a lot of books! I have just finished a collection of short stories, a romanticized biography of Nureyev, the Goncourt sweet song by Leila Slimani and the Goncourt of the students 2016 Petit Pays by Gael Faye. And I just started the book of an English author ...
And the books, where are they stored?
Virginie Lemoine: I have a library of 3 meters long on almost all the height in the living room: they are classified by authors but also many by sizes and colors! I keep all the classics discovered at sixteen: Diderot, Barbey Aurevilly, Gide, Camus, Maupassant, Zola ... Although I gave a lot before my move, I continue to buy.
Tips on storage?
Virginie Lemoine: There is a discreet door in the room that conceals 4 m2 of wardrobe ! Because after books, clothes are my second hobby. I had bet on have no closet in my new apartment! The only exception is a custom closet that goes unnoticed because it is only 15 cm wide: it's my trick to hide the extensions of the table!
My other tips: bed with drawers to store the lingerie, the linens and I even have a drawer "staged" for my models of theater. As for the shoes, I had the idea to put them in two dressers!
Do you dream of one more room? If so, for what purpose?
Virginie Lemoine: Yes an office! So far, I have never had a special room to work. I always built small bars on the kitchen side: ideal to land.
And your two cats, their favorite piece?
Virginie Lemoine: I'm gaga of my two old cats, a male and a female! They are ugly, plucked and skinny but I love them. They stay in my room most often where they have their "home" ... Alone, the male follows me everywhere: he always keeps me company.
Are you green plants, flowers, balcony, terrace, garden?
Virginie Lemoine: I have a lot of green plants - Ivy, yuccas ... and a small cactus that I managed to keep for years. All are very easy to maintain and as the apartment is bright, they grow naturally.
