With its blankets, tablecloths, scarves, stoles ... the hand-made brand of hand-woven textiles creates an enveloping idea of clothing, comfort and domestic harmony. She espouses the demanding criteria ofa contemporary aesthetic, oftraditional work and of the value of the handmade. Around Elena Goded Rambaud, university professor, biologist, specialist in natural dyeing, and her daughter Camila Lanzas Goded, designer, the workshop is a hive and the rule - also Cistercian it seems - is happy. Facing the open walls of the abbey, an educational garden of dyeing plants marry the landscape, while the hut of dyes is at the edge of the woods. Miguel Cerezales Rotaeche, forest engineer, in charge of colors and dyes, shares with Elena the secrets of cochineal, the tour of the universe of indigo, the "madder" values of the Rubia tinctorum, emblematic of Castile ... From the cabin to the workshop, dyes tell an alchemy that penetrates the heart of the alpacas of Chile and Peru, the lins of Egypt and Belgium, the wool of the end of the world ... Elena says silk: "This is the material that fascinates me the most, when 'a scarf becomes shell, volume, sculpture ...' Respect for nature and man is at the heart of Abbatte's choice of fibers, colors and weaving. To know how to prolong a piece of memory to invent current forms, that's all his talent. To Madrid, the monacal showroom breathe the same serenity than the Segovia craft headquarters. The open air, the pines as far as the eye can see, this ample breathing of the mountain, penetrate there like a breath of life, around natural textiles.
