Long live the bohemian attitude at the Hotel Michelberger Berlin

Jean-Marc Palisse

It's in Berlin that the magazine Décoration Internationale went to discover a design and decoration hotel sliding on the wave of the bohemian attitude. Furnished furniture, memories of trips around the world ... The Michelberger hotel reveals its interior and its rooms deco in pictures.

Hotel Michelberger is like Berlin, a bit crazy and completely artistic! Deco and design, this place opens its doors for a weekend bohemian version and recu '... Here the visit signed International Decoration.

Hotel Michelberger : a decoration bohème in Berlin

Created by the bubbling Tom Michelberger who dreamed of a hotel for "artists, dreamers and globe-trotters" and thinks that "perfection does not create memories", the hotel was born in 2009 in an old construction factory revisited by the architect Werner Aisslinger with its period features and a very glamorous Hollywood marquee! 119 rooms like a patchwork of styles, far from hotel stereotypes, all of which tell a story. The decorators have scoured the fleas to install, here a sugar bowl in the form of towels, there a vase as a soap dish, each time a unique wallpaper, books everywhere as in the huge library of the lobby. A typical Berlin spirit that combines old things to create something new!

In the lobby, large sofas topped by a photograph of James Pfaff. In the wide lobby layers under a picture by James Pfaff.

Michelberger Hotel: a bohemian decoration

A pure product of Tom Michelberger's bright imagination, the Michelberger caters to "artists, dreamers and globe-trotters" and embodies his belief that "perfection does not create memories". Built in 2009 in a building construction factory by the architect Werner Aisslinger, the hotel's design integrates the building's original features and a very glamorous Hollywood style capital. One hundred and nineteen rooms like a patchwork of styles, far from any hotel stereotypes, tell their individual stories. The decorators scoured flea markets in search of a sugar pot shaped like a towel rack, a vase instead of a soap dish ... They are different wallpapers for each room and scattered books all over the place, beginning in the huge library in the lobby. Nothing could be more "Berlin" than using old things to create a new.
