Thermodynamic water heater: choose your source
Choosing a thermodynamic water heater is reduce electricity consumption by three. However this water heater although economic does not install everywhere. Discover all our tips to choose your new water heater.
The thermodynamic water heater is a heat pump which has the particularity of being able to divide its electricity consumption by three. This one works by capturing the calories of the room in which he is. It is therefore important to follow the instructions for use and installation carefully before choosing a thermodynamic water heater for your home. How it works ?
A thermodynamic water heater (CET) is a heat pump that theoretically divides its electricity consumption by three. However, the choice of where the calories are drawn from is critical in terms of energy savings.
Thus, the CET can capture calories in the air of an unheated roombut under certain conditions: its temperature must be above 5 ° C in winter and below 35 ° C in summer; it must be clean (without dust) and of a volume of at least 20 m3, calculated by deducting that which takes the furniture, the freezer, etc., which it shelters often (be careful not to transform the room into storage room: the CET could not function properly).

Which model to choose?
If the house is equipped with a VMC (controlled mechanical ventilation), one can select a CET that captures the calories in the extracted air, whose constant temperature allows a performance (coefficient of performance or COP) of good level. But the device must have been specifically designed for that.
Finally, the CET that captures the outside air can be monoblock when it is installed inside the house (equipped with ducts to bring air) or Split when the outdoor unit is placed in the garden. It must withstand temperatures up to -5 ° C at least, to limit the operation of the electric backup.
Whatever the model chosen, if the conditions of its good functioning can not be met, it is better to give up the CET.

On the energy label, the thermodynamic water heater is rated A or A +. The label specifies the capacity, measured according to 8 profiles of standardized daily draws, the annual energy consumption according to three European climates; France being concerned by two of them.
Also mentioned are indoor and outdoor noise levels. The pictogram of the watch indicates that the device was designed to work in off-peak hours.
