A sober decoration in harmony with the authenticity of the places

Before Julia Schmit and Anne Fath help the new owner, the Parisian apartment consisted of only one main room where bedroom, living room, kitchen and dining area were painfully shared space. Lassée by this lack of privacy and fluidity, the young woman asks the interior designers to intervene. In just 1 month, June's pro transform the poorly distributed studio into a practical two-room and comfortable. Storage furniture, canopy, sofa ... In the living room, as in the whole apartment, a deep blue was chosen as "red thread". The color of character sublimates the immaculate decor. The velvet seat imposes in the living room, but its look is lightened by feet pin.

To renovate this 35 m2, June's pro team chose to keep some elements of the old. Moldings, parquet and large windows have been sublimated by a classic decor, a contemporary strand. A cocooning carpet warms the restored floor while Fleux's wired coffee tables and an Acapulco chair modernize the space with subtlety. Before work, no suspension illuminated the main room. Even if it enjoys a generous brightness, twisted wire with filament bulb was installed above the sofa. With the workshop canopy, all these decorative elements bring an industrial touch very trendy.

Retractable storage space optimizes the apartment

For the owner, the priority was to multiply storage, almost nonexistent before renovation. Interior designers have therefore designed modules from Ikea kitchen cabinets which separate the kitchen from the living room. Both pro adapted the furniture and shaped it into a semi-tailored spirit. Dressed in a Resource Blue, the modules act as partitions Thick and imposing: a risky choice, but that works perfectly in the discreet decor of the apartment.

Once the problem of missing storage was resolved, the interior designers had to tackle a second problem: create a convivial but discreet dining area. Before work, the dining room boiled down to a kitchen bar poorly adapted to receive. The pro have realized a removable table that fits into the storage module at will.

As the owner preferred to preserve square meters for the sleeping area but thata convivial dining room was still close to her heart, Julia Schmit and Anne Fath imagined a retractable table. Unfolded, the item is ready to receive up to 5 guests. Folded, it disappears completely in the module.

When the dining room table is unfolded, it reveals a small niche dedicated to storage, very practical to have kitchen accessories or decorative objects. The folding element is an integral part of the customized modules and folds discreetly, as required.

The spaces are subtly isolated from each other

If the living room side custom wall serves as a dining area and has large closets, in the kitchen, open niches make it possible to make the link with the living room. Ikea kitchen furniture, new, has not been changed. Only the porcelain stoneware credenza and the marble effect worktop from Castorama were added to harmonize the decor.

The apartment gains a real sleeping area

Dear to the owner, small room created thanks to a separatory canopy was pampered. For the walls of the newly designed room, the interior designers were ingenious: instead of repainting entire walls, they opted for a geometric shape in the same bluish tones as the decor of the living room. Creating a triangle in one corner of the room and not repainting the wall to the ceiling breaks the impression of narrowness of the room. Thanks to this optical illusion, the sleeping area seems bigger, as if by magic.
