Beautiful and well thought out cupboards

Jean-Marc Palisse

Stop ugly and bulky cupboards, instead of aesthetic storage that know how to hide elegantly. And as always, Côté Maison helps you to stock up on good ideas.

The useful becomes more and more design, to the delight of our interiors. So if you still have old storage cabinets or your storage needs a good shot of refreshment, here is a selection of cupboards very modern and perfectly integrated into their interior to inspire you.

1. Refined closets

The walls and doors of these Ikea cupboards are draped with tobacco cloth, Dedar. Little more than clever, two of them have been cut to place the television screen.

2. Concealed closets

Behind the storage spaces designed under the stairs, a nook with a depth of 1.50 m allowed to install a retractable cupboard made to measure by a carpenter. This furniture MDF is mounted on wheels and slides at the top on rails.

3. Built-in cupboards on the stairs

The staircase, sculptural monobloc, displays integrated storage spaces that follow the shape of the steps, as well as a shelf of plates. At once very practical and aesthetic.

4. The staircase-cupboard

The custom-made MDF staircase allows you to store books and hi-fi equipment, hide the TV screen and provide a cloakroom. Two speakers are also integrated.

5. Simplicity for wood cabinets

These chestnut cabinets, very simple, are perfect for storage that should not be noticed and harmonize with the rest of the house.

6. A wall of cupboards

The wall of this living room hosts a large piece of furniture made to measure. On one side, it hides a small desk, and on the other, a storage for the ironing board. Under the television, the closets conceal electrical connections and hi-fi equipment.

7. Closets both aesthetic and discreet

At the same time central decorative element of this large room and storage space, the staircase is displayed as a pure and intangible anchor that actually houses many closets. On the ground floor as in the first, we find this guideline along the north wall formed by poplar plywood cabinets designed and made to measure by the owners.
