Atelier Christian Lacroix Collection House

Niel Bicknel

Flamboyant colors and folk motifs, the DNA of the Maison Christian Lacroix is still as rigorously preserved with the new summer collection. A discovery full of gaiety!

Bright colors, folk motifs, sophisticated blends ... Since 1987, the Maison Christian Lacroix has been constantly reinventing itself and offering collections full of gaiety. With this collection, Sacha Walckhoff, the Director of Creation, reconnects with the origins of the house: an exuberant blend of modernity and tradition. Cap on the six summer 2014 collections of Christian Lacroix Maison.

1. Beautiful shores on the French Riviera

Also edited by Designers Guild, Christian Lacroix's Belles Rives collection is a trip to the French Riviera. Japanese influences are invited to join the sun of the Croisette, the bright colors of the Carnival of Nice and luxury Monegasque. A flashback in the midst of the twentieth century elite in an Art Deco lounge.

3. Paseo and the arts of the table

The collection designed with the Portuguese manufacture Vista Allegre presents a line of table art with a Paseo motif. A subtlety of gold and silver for this white porcelain, perfect for festive meals. The Paseo motif - whose origin is a bullfighting cloak of the last century - is reminiscent of the Mediterranean influences, always very present in Christian Lacroix.

4. Decorative panels, by the house Marotte

On these Haute Couture wood panels, several motifs are available: lace print, carved embroidery, calligraphy design or cutting of precious wood. We also find the icons of the company Marotte, created in 1947, on walnut, ash or wood of colors. But the most symbolic remains Bodega, a pixelated and multicolored pattern evoking the faiences of Arles, birthplace of Christian Lacroix.
