Gilles Trillard

In Megève, Olivier Chetail's gallery-shop is an address that is passed on from art lover to bargain hunter. Its founder, an antique-decorator, stages a singular mountain style.

Olivier Chetail's boutique gallery is unlike any other: a discreet sign in the small courtyard of a beautiful 17th century farmhouse, incredibly well preserved in the heart of the resort. A few steps are enough to reach the place that stages in a bold theatricality objects and furniture of all eras. It is undoubtedly during his studies of art history at La Sorbonne that the decorative arts were revealed to this child of the country. Bulimic of culture, he is passionate about the art market and surveys contemporary art galleries, renowned antique neighborhoods, the flea markets of Clignancourt ... After working for a gallery in Saint-Tropez, Olivier finds his mountains in 2005 and opens his own gallery, on the street first, before investing it.

Curious associations

It does not claim a domain of predilection but a true curiosity of the associations: vanities, stuffed animals size XXL, Scandinavian furniture and architects signed Charlotte Perriand, Henry Jacques The same or Jean Royère, seventies lighting, ceramics Vallauris 1950, engravings of contemporary artists ... The young man sees his reputation grow and his achievements follow one another. He is now very much in demand for the design of interior decoration projects. But also for staging, well beyond its mountains, between Paris, New York and Eastern Europe.
