Where does Caroline Munoz, the gardener of France 5 live?

Nathalie Guyon / FTV

It's in Stéphane Marie's show "Silence, ça pousse" that Caroline Munoz made her appearance since September 2015. The host who made herself known on Direct 8 in Déco 8, succeeded Noëlle Bréham. Interview in his Paris loft.

Although Caroline Munoz is fond of gardening and the world of plants, deco remains her favorite field. The family loft which she opened the doors to us is her best field of experimentation because of tips and ideas: she does not miss it. She distills them on her blog throughout the year. Chineuse and in search of the unusual piece or the bargain, she looks forward to spring to go hunting and browse flea markets everywhere in France, especially in the Perche and Sarthe.

Your favorite room where you like to be and spend time?

Caroline Munoz: My living room because it is the convivial room where we like to meet with our friends. We have an American open kitchen and a large fireplace. On the hood, we project the films through a video projector. It was an idea that I had seen during a report for my decorating show Déco 8 on Direct 8. My office is "my" room where I spend a lot of time in the middle of books and memories of personal adventures and professional.

Your furniture: rather modern, ultra design, family, pitcher?

Caroline Munoz: A mix of everything ... I picked up a small table from the 50s in the street. I repaired it, customized it and gave it a second life! Above, I put a beautiful design lamp that cost me a lot. It took me a long time to give it to me. I also found "Dame-Jeanne" in antiques, in which I put electric garlands. The furniture and objects in my house have a sentimental value and a story. What makes the charm of a place is (in my opinion) the mixture of style ... Tell me how is your house and I will tell you who you are!

The most unusual or unexpected that can be discovered at home?

Caroline Munoz: The rooms of my children. We realized our kids' dream by making huts with a tree in decoration: this is a work of Frédéric Tabary.

An object or piece of furniture that you could not separate?

Caroline Munoz: A service of beautiful crystal carafes that I had from my grandmother. The whole is beautiful and there is of course a strong emotional side.

Your favorite color in your home?

Caroline Munoz: I like sobriety. The colors of my interior are white, gray and black. Except for the world of children where I dared more joyous colors, like anise green.

Your last purchase - useful or futile! - for the House ?

Caroline Munoz : Useful and deco at the same time since it is a vintage school desk bought in a flea market.

The kitchen, rather open or closed?

Caroline Munoz: Open kitchen for the friendly side.

And the TV, which room?

Caroline Munoz: In the living room and the bedroom.

Do you live with music or rather in silence?

Caroline Munoz: In music. We have many musical instruments in the living room including a battery that sits in the library area, and a guitar, a trumpet, etc. There is always music in the house and everyone plays an instrument, or almost!

Rather candle or rather perfume of atmosphere?

Caroline Munoz: The candles I love it! And today, they offer, for the most part, very pleasant varieties of scents.

Curtains, doors, shutters? What does it inspire you?

Caroline Munoz: Living in a loft, there are very few doors!

What is on your bedside table?

Caroline Munoz: Books and still books.

A deco trick or storage?

Caroline Munoz: Being passionate about decoration, I have so much that I created a blog where I distill tips, favorites, etc.

Do you dream of one more room? If so, for what purpose?

Caroline Munoz: A real guest room to bring our family from the South of France.

Rather orderly or messy ?

Caroline Munoz: Orderly nature but the house quickly becomes messy with children!

Are you green plants, flowers, balcony, terrace, garden?

Caroline Munoz: Being co-host on "Silence, it grows", I can only love plants. I'm lucky to have a little outside corner where I grow herbs, cherry tomatoes, etc. We also have an olive tree (my favorite tree) and bamboo, which stays green all year round.

Your addresses or favorite brands for the home (shopping, decoration, florist, etc.)?

Caroline Munoz: I chine a lot and as soon as the spring arrives, I do flea markets everywhere in France, especially in the Perche and the Sarthe. There is still business to do. For my Parisian shopping, I enter the shops at random of my walks ... A small discreet shop or a large sign can attract me as well as the other, and I can easily find my happiness!
