Where does Agathe Lecaron, the animator of "We are not just guinea pigs" live?

Delphine GHOSAROSSIAN / France Television / SIPA

Since Agathe Lecaron, the host of France 5, moved out of Paris in a XIXth century house with garden, she lives again. Interview cooking, his favorite room.

It's been just four months since Agathe Lecaron left a noisy apartment in the capital for a house in the western suburbs. She admits to relive, evoking even a "resurrection" and savor every day, the calm, the smells of the garden ...

What caused his favorite? After visiting many houses, she immediately won her preference. She wanted the old and then there was with the owners, a real stream of sympathy. But he who holds a preponderant place and no doubt contributes to the good waves of this place is the huge beech. It overlooks the kitchen, itself open to the garden, and designed in extension as a super modern veranda. Agathe therefore received us in her kitchen ...

Your favorite room where you like to be and spend time?

Agathe Lecaron: The kitchen-dining room communicates in extension by the living room. Totally atypical, she is the heart of the house. This is where everything happens. It is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the garden with a huge beech tree. And in summer, it is open on the terrace, accessible by a few wooden steps. We can not wait to do our first barbecues in the spring. To keep the bucolic and rustic side, it has a dominant wood and an art deco table, but a lot of styles mix. It's also a playroom annex for my little boy.

A dish unexpectedly on the go for your friends? Your specialty?

Agathe Lecaron: A tartiflette! I can also make a truffle omelet with a good organic lettuce and a piece of cheese.

Your furniture: rather modern, ultra design, family, pitcher?

Agathe Lecaron: I hate the total look whether in clothing or decoration. There are fairly modern sofas and a table, classics, Caravane rooms, old furniture from my parents, an eighteenth secretary: I mix quite a lot. I like to hunt whenever I have the opportunity. I love stuffed animals, I have a parrot, a dragonfly and butterflies in my library.

The most unusual or unexpected that can be discovered at home?

Agathe Lecaron: A 70s foot lamp from a designer, wedding gift. She is both beautiful and atypical.

An object or piece of furniture that you could not separate?

Agathe Lecaron: A Matisse lithograph that my parents received for their wedding. We do not know if it is true or false: I prefer to maintain the legend. And I'm very attached to a painting signed by my grandfather who was a painter ...

Your favorite color in your home?

Agathe Lecaron: Green and yellow! My room is green - a bronze green inspired by Farrow and Ball, and in the kitchen painted in olive green. It is very beautiful. And I was inspired by Sarah Lavoine for the yellow desk, which was called "the yellow piece". The bathroom has become taupe after the failure of an attempt in green anise! Elsewhere, I favored white and soft colors.

Your last purchase - useful or futile! - for the House ?

Agathe Lecaron: Exactly butterflies that I bought at the chips of Saint-Ouen. As the library is white, they bring a touch of color!

Do books occupy an important place?

Agathe Lecaron: I can not stand a lounge without a library. I have memories of a little girl at my parents 'house, or at my grandparents' house, where there were books everywhere.

At home, they are arranged in a rather anarchic and without any logic, according to my favorites, just like my brothel environment. Sometimes I change them if I want symmetry. It fills up, gets empty: like clothes, it comes in, it comes out.

We are lucky to have space and I am not attached to objects. I give a lot of books, like novels that have not marked me. On the other hand, some follow me: a book with a word of love that I had found at my grandmother's, some bound books ... I hope that in turn, my son will get lost when he grows up .

And the TV, which room?

Agathe Lecaron: I use it as a radio! There are TVs everywhere: in the living room, the kitchen, the guest room and my room. It is an object of absolute ugliness. In this case, the salon is quite large and my husband wanted to put in the library. So we had to negotiate. I dropped but in return, I was able to make the deco all alone, my way!

Do you live with music or rather in silence?

Agathe Lecaron: We live in music! I can listen to Elton John, The Shoes or Mozart's requiem. : I have eclectic tastes. As for my husband, he is crazy about music. We also listen to the news ... not to mention the noise, our little boy!

Rather candle or rather perfume of atmosphere?

Agathe Lecaron: Candles! I light a lot but since I have my boy, I'm very careful. For a dinner, I put candles everywhere and I favor all the indirect lighting because it is super warm ... I diffuse very rarely perfumes of atmosphere, except that "ripe and musk" of the Craftsman Parfumeur. I like the amber smells of patchouli, incense ... All that I can not wear as a blonde, I perfume the house!

Curtains, doors, shutters? What does it inspire you?

Agathe Lecaron: As the house is bathed in light and there is no vis-à-vis, we hesitate to ask curtains. This is still a topic of discussion. The ideal would be to have for the winter because it gives a cozy side, and can remove them in the summer.

What is on your bedside table?

Agathe Lecaron: Pacifier ! It prevents me, when my son lost his in the middle of the night, from having to look for her. There is a bedside lamp and my Ipad, with the last books I loaded. Buy on tablet has the advantage of the instant side, but reading does not have the same flavor.

I've just finished "Richie"Raphaëlle Baqué, the bio of the former boss of science po Richard Descoing My next will be"I will say despite everything that this life was beautiful " from Jean d'Ormesson. I love buying books even if I do not always have the time to read them!

Do you dream of one more room? If so, for what purpose?

Agathe Lecaron: If I had a magic wand, I would like to have a piece of my own to paint. And for my son, I'd like a huge room in which we could ride an electric train.

Rather orderly or messy?

Agathe Lecaron: I am very messy but it is offset by the maniaquerie of my husband.

Are you green plants, flowers, balcony, terrace, garden?

Agathe Lecaron: I do not like houseplants but cut flowers, yes. In my entrance, before my son's arrival, I still had a vase full of flowers, lying on the ground. As for the garden, I'd like to go there and maybe even make a little vegetable garden. It was well maintained by the old owners and it is still well bloomed with roses, jasmine ... It's up to us to take over.

Your addresses or favorite brands for the home?

Agathe Lecaron: I am more inspired by brands than I buy them, but among my references, there are: Farrow & Ball, because they have extraordinary pallets; Sarah Lavoine; Caravan for their ethnic side; Pinterest is my first reflex to find color ideas! Finally to hunt, my advice is to browse the flea markets of small villages.
