Where does the host Sandrine Corman live?
Julien KNAUB / TMC
Bucolic escape at Sandrine Corman. A few days before her delivery, the host of TF1 had agreed to show us around her house, 20 minutes from Brussels. Interview with a house fairy, whose golden rule is the order.
After M6, in "France has an incredible talent", then on TMC, it is on TF1 that Sandrine Corman made her return since November 7, 2015, in "Hair, the best hairdresser", a contest of amateur hairdressers. The filming took place this summer. She will be able to take full advantage of the first months with Harold who was born November 3, 2015: he joins a beautiful siblings, consisting of Oscar and two half-brothers.
Place for baby business, sunbed, etc. Suddenly, work is planned so that each child has his room, and especially a games room, told us the young mother. Following a construction site and structural work does not scare Sandrine who has the experience. Indeed, to see his house four white plaster facades and tiled roof, with its light gray frame, it is difficult to imagine that it has been fully rehabilitated.
What captivates you by buying this house?
Sandrine Corman: The old houses have more charm. We had a crush on this house of the 50s that has a soul and a particular look. It reminds me of those of Knock the Zouk with their wooden braces on the windows, and their small balconies on the floor. The wooded neighborhood also seduced us. But since everything had been abandoned, and the garden was a virgin forest, the rehabilitation project lasted more than eight months.
Can you describe the site?
Sandrine Corman: There was no more soil, no more roof. Only the structure had been kept. Inside, we broke all the walls to create a more contemporary space. Although we already had specific ideas, we called in an interior designer. We did all the follow-up of the construction site, especially the structural work, especially as I am lucky to have in my family, almost all the trades represented: an electrician, a ceilinger ... I managed to make a very bright house with large windows.
Would you like to animate a deco show?
Sandrine Corman: Yes, I would love. I look at all the decor magazines and I'm curious about all the beautiful houses, the beautiful hotels, the interiors!
Your favorite room where you like to be and spend time?
Sandrine Corman: The living room. It is a large open space comprising a kitchen with a large central island, the dining room and the living room. The set is a great L. We mixed several styles: a little modern, we have on the ground an epoxy resin in shades of light gray that we married with oak flooring. The kitchen furniture is in white lacquered with a very dark wood floor, like the table of the dining room.
Your furniture: rather modern, ultra design, family, pitcher?
Sandrine Corman: Rather contemporary with warm touches brought by the wood and the presence of the chimney fire, in winter. There are few decorative objects, the whole is quite minimalist. We have a big gray sofa very comfortable.

The most unusual or unexpected that can be discovered at home?
Sandrine Corman: The order! I am very manic: everything is always extremely tidy. It can even happen to vacuum several times a day. As I am surrounded by boys, everyday, I lead them hard.
An object or piece of furniture that you could not separate?
Sandrine Corman: A very beautiful baffle brand Geneva, very design that I like very much. And then my bed! I have a dad who has a bedding store so I was well advised: I chose the best, the brand Nox plus, a mattress over.
Your favorite color in your home?
Sandrine Corman: Everything is in rather light tones, white with a dominant of gray.
Your last purchase - useful or futile! - for the House ?
Sandrine Corman: Three beautiful black lanterns outside and gilded inside that I bought at Flamant: they sit on the table of the living room and make a very beautiful lighting.

The kitchen, rather open or closed?
Sandrine Corman: I like the friendly side of the open kitchen. The only constraint: nothing must drag. Next to the kitchen, I planned a laundry to put a good part of the household appliances: kettle, coffee maker ... And if not, I put away, after each use, the toaster, the robots. For meals, depending on the number of guests, one takes them, either on the high part of the island where one can sit up to four, with high stools, or in the dining room.
A dish unexpectedly on the go for your friends? Your specialty?
Sandrine Corman: I am an Epicurean. I like both discovering good food and cooking for my family and friends, even if it's not always easy to renew oneself. So I take the time to go shopping, and to dive into a cookbook. Unannounced, it will be either spaghetti bolognese or "balls", a recipe typical of Liège: a salty and sweet dish very caloric but super good. These are meatballs, made from veal and pork with parsley and served with a sauce made from onions, grapes, bread with mustard and cork syrup (apples and pears). I have a crazy success with this recipe.
And the TV, which room?
Sandrine Corman: We have two TVs in the living room: a small wall in the kitchen (just for me), and a large in the living room, next to the fire, but in the end, it looks very little.
Do you live with music or rather in silence?
Sandrine Corman: When I'm alone, in silence ... I like calm.
Rather candle or rather perfume of atmosphere?
Sandrine Corman: We get a lot of candle lighting. I also like the perfumes of atmosphere, like Ritual (the sticks which one soaks). In summer, my preferences go to floral fragrances and in winter, Christmas smells of cinnamon or amber ...
Curtains, doors, shutters? What does it inspire you?
Sandrine Corman: The day, no curtains, I like the light. In the evening, I need privacy. There are no shutters but we put dark gray fabric blinds, the same color as the wall; and in the living room; there are hangings. In the rooms, I installed well-lined and very blackout drapes. In mine, they are dark brown, and I opted for color in boys' rooms: yellow, red and another light linen.
What is on your bedside table?
Sandrine Corman: The last Bernard Minier, I love it! I read only thrillers and thrillers. I have a small lamp that I attach to the book so as not to disturb my husband, a bottle of water and a hand cream.
A deco trick or storage?
Sandrine Corman: I have a 25 liter trash bin, very practical fully integrated into the worktop.
Do you dream of one more room? If so, for what purpose?
Sandrine Corman: Yes. The project is to enlarge the house. Our children are always in our paws with their rifles and darts. We will build an annex that will be their universe: they will each have their room with bathrooms and a games room. We will do like an artist's studio, while keeping the spirit of the house. There will be access through the dining room. As for the baby, he will be with us at the beginning. Then when he gets his nights, until the work is done, he will be put in a room next to our room.
Rather orderly or messy?
Sandrine Corman: I was educated by very neat parents and I can not stand disorder. Alas, my men leave their things hanging out: it is not always easy!
Are you green plants, flowers, balcony, terrace, garden?
Sandrine Corman: I do not have the time, however, to garden. We just mow the lawn! We are lucky to have beautiful trees, there are some small lavender beds and hydrangeas around the terrace. In front of the house, I planted a large garden with grasses! Inside, no green plants but there is always a bouquet of white or pink roses on the living room table /
