Farewell cows, forest and river for Flora Coquerel! Originally from the Orleans region, Miss France 2014 has just moved to Paris. Exclusive interview ...

Becoming Miss France 2014, Flora Coquerel had to leave the family home of her parents, based in Morancez, a small village in Eure-et-Loire in the Center region, one hour from Paris. For the first time, Flora Coquerel lives alone, in a beautiful apartment of 50 m2 in the heart of the capital, made available for a year, to perform its duties as Miss France. While she had just made her mark in her Parisian apartment, she confided in all simplicity to the editorial staff of Côté Maison.

Your favorite room where you like to be and spend time?

Flora Coquerel, Miss France: At my parents' house, it's in my room that I like to meet. When they bought our house Morancez 5 years ago, they have completely redecorated. The furniture is in light wood with a white wardrobe from Ikea and a large mirror. In the Parisian apartment where I just moved, it's in the living room, in one of the sofas, that I feel good.

Your furniture: rather modern, ultra design, family, pitcher?

Flora Coquerel: My parents love antique furniture. I have a preference for simple lines and modern furniture.

The most unusual or unexpected that can be discovered at home?

Flora Coquerel: A sewing machine ! Since childhood, I was passionate about fashion; at fifteen, I wanted to become a stylist and I ordered for a Christmas a sewing machine. The needle broke, I could not repair it and since then, it remained there, in the decor of my room.

An object or piece of furniture that you could not separate?

Flora Coquerel: A loincloth. Every time I go on the move, my mom gives me a different loincloth so that I can remember the house. It's a bit like a talisman that accompanies me on my travels. I then put it on a bed, a sofa.

Your favorite color in your home?

Flora Coquerel: In my room in Morancez, my mother has all repainted in the colors anise green and brown. In Paris, the apartment that is lent to me is in white, a neutral color so that each new Miss can bring his personal touch.

Your last favorite purchase for the house?

Flora Coquerel: I have not yet had the time to make purchases to bring my touch in my new Parisian interior, but I want to buy a large mirror.

The kitchen, rather open or closed?

Flora Coquerel: At my parents' house there is an open kitchen with a bar.

A dish unexpectedly on the go for your friends? Your specialty?

Flora Coquerel: Since I was little, I prepare lots of desserts: pies, chocolate fondant, tiramisu. I am more of a sweet specialist.

And the TV, which room?

Flora Coquerel: I have a TV in my room that my brother had given me. In Paris, she is in the living room.

Do you live with music or rather in silence?

Flora Coquerel: Always in music. I listen a lot to Skyrock.

Are you rather candle or rather scent of atmosphere?

Flora Coquerel: I use scented candles and preferably vanilla.

What is on your bedside table?

Flora Coquerel: Sometimes drugs, my cell phone that is in charge at night, a book even if I'm not a great reader, or otherwise a magazine. There is never a lot of things in general on my bedside table.

Do you dream of one more room? If so, for what purpose?

Flora Coquerel: With my parents, we have always dreamed of setting up an indoor pool in the basement to relax after a day of work.

Rather orderly or messy?

Flora Coquerel: I try to be orderly. I have a little trouble right now because since my election, I am very spoiled and I receive many gifts but I do the best I can, because I feel better in a tidy environment. I must admit that in my room with my parents, there are clothes everywhere but in my Paris apartment, I want everything to be beautiful.

Are you green plants, flowers, balcony, terrace, garden?

Flora Coquerel: When I was a child, I loved gardening. With my studies, I do not have enough time to devote myself to it but I adore as soon as I can, spend time in my garden.
