Discover the Maison Côté Sud versus 2007 with this return to the Salon Vivre Côté Sud, an aesthetic happening under the limes of Aix-en-Provence. Deco, creative, gourmet ...
The impression of leafing through his favorite magazine in a big way! This is what we already felt when discovering the central aisle! Vertigo of a series of mysterious little tents to explore all one by one. Linens, dishes, lamps, carpets, mirrors, tiles ... everything is there to redo a trendy interior. But how to choose just so that everything goes together? In June 2007, Côté Sud offered a lesson in style with a beautiful house of a few days, designed by Geneviève Dortignac and made with brands reflecting the philosophy of the magazine. Graphic and moving garden, unexpected colors, bold associations, light and inventive furniture, and a festival of ideas to decline. "Come see, come see the room, you'll love" ...
The public rushes around the house surrounded by lush vegetation, throwing a curious eye through the shuttered Jasno Shutters shutters. Designed by Loup & Co, the garden breathes sunny land. He draws a line punctuated by ceramic jars of Ravel pottery, planted with blue agaves. Caressed by the grasses that undulate at the slightest air between the white laurels, the garden seats inspire laziness. There are also two olive trees with a gnarled trunk and a flowering grenadier already in its forties.
Thanks to the wide openings which abolish the frontier in-out, this nature offers in the heart of the house the chlorophyll of an eternal summer. The corridor, with muted shades awakened by an orange border Tollens Paintings, shelters under a ceiling in cannins: poor material but full of common sense, knowing better than any other protection filter the air and the light. "We could do the same thing under our glass roof," said a lady who flashes on the magic of the games of light and shadow projected on the walls. And note in passing the reference rattan suspensions.
After a few comings and goings, we notice the different gray tones of the polished concrete floor chosen from the Mercadier color chart. Contemporary version of moments of intimacy that reflect a different way of seeing and feeling, the room breaks with the traditional heritage by integrating the bathroom part. A ceramic bowl shaped cake mold, placed on a white marble console, and a shower tray concealed by organza curtains printed plant motifs Emery & Cie.
On the azure wall, simple bulbs cling to a slender plaster branch imagined by Jacqueline Morabito. "It's magical, romantic, we float in an unreal light that expands the space," sums up a young woman touched by the limpid rays curved and backcourt that distils the velum carved in a light veil of Elitis raffia. There are also, near the bed, transformed into beanbags, crates that used to be used by the grape harvesters of the region, a console and few objects. A bedroom of her own, Virginia Woolf, was forgotten on Edith Mezard's linen bed cover.
The atmosphere that reigns in the room is precisely a hymn to "time for oneself". For fifteen minutes of nap, one hour of meditation in the hollow of the pillow, and a night dreaming in linen sheets of C & C Milano, the window wide open on the bamboo hedge. Wake up gently and find the "Moments de Partage" in the pink atmosphere of the living room, real living room, comfortable, functional, welcoming in a dragee color of setting which tinges the gluttony voluptuously catching the light . Fuchsia, the cover of the sofa bed Caravan Room 19 with enveloping forms; striped Calypso, the velum Les Toiles du Soleil; powdered, the computer and the strap of the Sony camera. To calm the game: gray, Smeg refrigerator; gray, Convent Bastide tables, Campagne Première shelves; and Inox, the kitchen island Arclinea.
This general gaiety tears away the confidences: "The rose is my favorite color, as refreshing as a summer fruit." The dialogue begins: "Who is the pitcher on the table?" The walls resonate with all sorts of questions. The soul of the house rejoices. It was built for this purpose. Share an impression of good life. Blowing the spirit of the South without preconceptions. With a nice dose of tenderness, charm and simplicity.
